7. You Are Constantly Thirsty
You need to stay hydrated when you’re sick. This means drinking plenty of caffeine-free drinks, preferably water, tea, chicken soup, or broth. If you’re enjoying a cup of coffee, drowning down a beer, and sipping on Red Bulls, then you’re not going to see any improvement.
8. You Have to Go to the Bathroom…A Lot
You might be spending a lot of time on the toilet, but the bathroom is actually a good therapeutic place to get rid of the early signs of flu. Here is what you do:
- Close your bathroom door.
- Turn on your shower.
- Make the water really hot.
- Sit in there and enjoy the steam.
This should kill bacteria, provide relief for your sore throat, and introduce some relaxation … like a sauna.
There is nothing in the world like a flu. It can sideline you for a couple of days or even a couple of weeks. While you will inevitably use various over-the-counter medication to alleviate the horrid feelings, it is better in the long run to just ride it out and ensure your body to kill the flu. That’s the only way to do it.
